Associate Degree Nursing  (A45110)

Associate in Applied Science Degree

The Associate Degree Nursing Program is approved by the North Carolina State Board of Nursing. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX-RN), which is the national licensing exam for registered nurses. Throughout the curriculum students acquire knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary for the entry level registered nurse to practice in a dynamic environment and to meet healthcare needs of individuals and families.

There are special admission procedures for the Associate Degree Nursing program.

Students may be required to take developmental courses in Math and/or English as a result of high school GPA or pre-enrollment placement tests.  Therefore, the student may need more than the minimum number of semester hours listed for graduation. Consult a program advisor for more information.
