DFT 151 - CAD I

3 credits

This course introduces CAD software as a drawing tool. Topics include drawing, editing, file management, and plotting. Upon completion, students should be able to produce and plot a CAD drawing. A computer capable of running the drawing software is required.

DFT 154 - Intro Solid Modeling

3 credits

This course is an introduction to basic three-dimensional solid modeling and design software. Topics include basic design, creation, editing, rendering and analysis of solid models and creation of multi-view drawings. Upon completion, students should be able to use design techniques to create, edit, render and generate a multi-view drawing. A computer capable of running the drawing software is required.

DFT 170 - Engineering Graphics

3 credits

This course introduces basic engineering graphics skills and applications. Topics include sketching, selection and use of current methods and tools, and the use of engineering graphics applications. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of basic engineering graphics principles and practices. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement as a pre-major and/or elective course requirement. A computer capable of running the drawing software is required.
